There are no mid-week Premier League matches as the FA Cup resumes play. Round Five of the FA Cup sees 12 of the remaining 16 clubs in the competition representing the Premier League. Matchups of Premier League sides include West Ham at Manchester United, Brighton at Leicester, Southampton at Wolves and Spurs at Everton. Spurs v. Everton features two teams separated by a point in the league table with both sitting just outside European qualification. Serial trophy winner Jose Mourinho is seeking to deliver silverware for Spurs for the first time since the 2008 League Cup. Everton is looking to earn its first major title since the 1995 FA Cup. Premier League Leader Manchester City faces Championship squad Swansea while Premier League bottom dweller Sheffield United will face off against Championship side Bristol City. Chelsea goes to Barnsley and Burnley will host Bournemouth in other matchups between Premier and Championship sides. Winners of this week’s matches proceed to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup scheduled for the weekend of March 20.
